An Ofsted rated GOOD school in New Milton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Head of Science to join their dynamic team from September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate science educator to take on a leadership role within a supportive and progressive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist the Head of Science in leading and managing the Science Department.
*Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative science curricula.
*Ensure high standards of teaching and learning within the department.
*Mentor and support science teachers, fostering a collaborative and professional atmosphere.
*Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies.
*Contribute to whole-school initiatives and the wider school community.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant science subject.
*Substantial experience in teaching science at secondary school level.
*Proven track record of excellent classroom practice and student achievement.
*Leadership experience within a school setting, preferably within a science department.
*Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for educational excellence.
*Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
