Reporting to the Service Director, the Operations & Service Manager will be responsible for reaching the UK Service budget by planning, prioritising and managing technical service activities. To prioritise tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively, and that the service obligations to our customers are fully met. Responsible for the SHEQ strategy, supporting the UK Management Team, and embedding a culture of safety, engagement and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Management Team & Department Heads, to ensure operations run to the highest levels of safety, health, environmental and quality standards across the 3 UK sites and in the field. Main responsibilities: - Lead and develop the service managers / teams of service technicians to achieve targets for the UK service division. Coach service managers on service commercial, technical standards (individual ride-alongs, team meetings, remote calls) and people management skills. Promote a team spirit and collective intelligence. Have a succession plan in place and develop underperformers. Develop strategy and budget with the Commercial Director and translate to local strategy and actions. Ensure alignment with group functions, about functional initiatives and strategies. Follow-up with key customers to monitor the day-to-day business concerning service and lead in major service negotiations. Promote and support collaboration with the sales teams and other depts. Develop service contract business. Follow-up of Service TNPS and secure Customer satisfaction and retention. Implement and update Company policies and procedures related to SHEQ Maintain the quality systems ISO9001 & ISO14001 Act as the SHEQ expert across teams and external stakeholders Manage the H&S training matrix and oversee awareness programmes Ensure contractor compliance through the contractor management process Lead investigations into incidents and produce clear, actionable reports Liaise with management and authorities on incident reporting and records Assist in risk assessments and method statements for employee activities Lead the safety team and communicate SHEQ actions across the business Manage the company's ISO audit and inspection schedule Promote a safety-first culture and drive continuous improvement Assist the Bid Team with tender completion/submission Any other ancillary duties that may reasonably be considered part of an Operations & Service Manager role with SHEQ responsibility.
