The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and construction.
A valid driver's licence - a company van will be provided for work use only.
Knowledge of bricklaying and masonry techniques is advantageous.
Basic carpentry skills for effective collaboration with other trades.
Familiarity with roofing processes for certain projects.
Willingness to learn welding skills, though prior experience is not essential.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
Preparing surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary.
Collaborating with bricklayers and masons to ensure proper integration of plaster with other building materials.
Conducting repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching and re-finishing damaged areas.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
