Our Multi Skilled Patient Service Assistants play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness and ward level food and beverage service is maintained throughout the Trust.
There are 15 hour, 17.5 hour and 20 hour posts available with start times ranging from 3.30pm up to 5.30pm.
Please note that all vacancies for this advert will cover Northern General Hospital Only. This will not cover Royal Hallamshire Hospital and all posts are for evenings only.
Main duties of the job
All posts will be required to undertake a range of domestic duties, for example maintaining a high standard of cleanliness using modern cleaning methods and machinery, full training will be provided.
The post may at times be required to attend to the cleaning of bodily fluids together with barrier cleaning and when competent in the role you will be required to buddy with new staff members.
Multi skilled staff will be dual trained and be able to also undertake the role of the Food and Beverage Assistants, this role will work at ward level serving the patient meals, full training will be provided including Food Safety Level 2. The role will provide all aspects of the patient meal service including serving the meals at ward level and ensuring the ward kitchen is free of clutter and all kitchen equipment is clean.

Qualifications
* GCSE English & Maths at Grade D/3 or above, or equivalent, or relevant experience that demonstrates competency to this level
* Basic Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Training / Qualification
* Customer Service Training / Qualification
Experience
* Experience of working in a customer focused environment
* Experience of housekeeping in a public sector environment
* Experience of working in a healthcare environment
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of high cleanliness standards.
