The role of Housing Officer will include:
1. Effective management of anti-social behaviour cases
2. Collaboration with colleagues in Property Services and Lettings to ensure the effective allocation of void properties
3. Managing tenant expectations about repairs and escalating any property maintenance issues affecting tenant welfare via appropriate channels
4. Managing complaints about service delivery
5. Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection)
6. Providing general advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability
7. Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting tenant welfare including domestic abuse, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding)
8. Working with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tenancy management process including tenancy conversions, permissions, mutual exchanges, successions and service charges
9. Enforcement of tenancy breaches
Skills and experiences:
10. Recent experience undertaking a similar role and a passion for supporting tenancy sustainment and working with vulnerable people
11. Proven experience of delivering high quality tenancy and customer service
12. Excellent skills in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions ideally with experience of this in relation to anti-social behaviour
13. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
14. Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
15. An understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
16. Travel will be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

27. Role salary is £32,887 per annum (rising to £34,617 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
