About the Role
As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company’s nominated key accounts across the Retail channel, as well as driving sustainable and profitable sales aligned to Group strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Channel Manager for Retail, your core responsibilities will include:
1. Taking full responsibility of nominated accounts across the Retail channel to deliver budgeted net margin, volume, and turnover across each chilled category.
2. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key strategic accounts, leveraging partnerships to drive forward retail strategy and category plans.
3. Developing robust distribution strategy which maximises our SKU availability across the Retail sector.
4. Managing and developing strong cross-functional relationships within Dale Farm to ensure optimum service levels to the customer.
5. Providing accurate and timely weekly production forecasting by customer / SKU to manage stock availability.
6. Annual Budget setting by volume and price across all customers at SKU level, as well as conducting ongoing regular reviews as required by the business.
7. Regular SKU optimisation reviews to ensure site capacity is being maximised within the retail range.
8. Any other duties as directed by the Channel Manager within the scope of the Commercial function.
A bout You
The Essential
The successful candidate should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, and should be an FMCG account professional who can demonstrate significant success managing key customers with at least 5 years’ experience.
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate strong and effective negotiation skills, along with the capability to analyse financial data to make decisions that improve sales, margins, and distribution. We would like to see evidence of a high level of commercial acumen and knowledge of the Irish retail sector.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of developing close working relationships with both clients and colleagues. The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly as and when challenges arise to find solutions.
Candidates should possess a sound knowledge and competency in IT to include the Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
The Desirable
Commercial management experience of a van sales network would be advantageous, and it would be beneficial to possess a strong knowledge of Dairy markets and movements within commodities.
