Join Cumberland Council as a Social Worker (Enhanced Practitioner) and support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilled, independent lives. You’ll use your advanced skills to manage complex cases, complete detailed assessments, and create person‑centred plans that deliver meaningful outcomes. Taking a strengths‑based, reablement approach, you’ll help individuals achieve their goals while promoting safety, dignity and independence. Working independently, you’ll use sound professional judgement and creative problem‑solving to handle challenging situations. You’ll collaborate closely with health partners, community organisations and other agencies, and provide supervision and guidance to colleagues to strengthen practice across the team. This is a great opportunity to use your specialist expertise to shape services and make a real difference across Cumbria. A social work degree is necessary for this role.

This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is Enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults.
