Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Main Outpatient at Orsett/Basildon Hospital. The Health Care Assistant will function as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Outpatient Department to provide a seamless service and high-quality care to patients, working collaboratively as part of the outpatient team.
Responsibilities
* Undertake assigned tasks involving direct care to meet the needs of patients in support of and supervised by a registered nurse.
* Work within the Trust's policies and procedures and uphold the outpatient philosophy.
* Continue to develop personal capabilities and knowledge of nursing tasks in line with the Trusts career pathway.
* Work day shifts which may include long days to meet service needs. The post holder may carry out other similar duties in support of the unit environment which are not listed.
* No duties are to be undertaken unless the appropriate training or instruction has been received.
Additional Context
* The HCA will be part of the Health Care Assistant (HCA) workforce development through the HCA Academy, an ICS initiative between Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT).
* Successful candidates will be able to access development opportunities, pastoral support, staff rewards and HCA exclusive resources such as the HCA App following induction with MSEFT.
