Project Manager (construction)
Position summary
A rare opportunity for a motivated, capable all-rounder to assume a central role in a long-established company.
LCC Restorations Limited is a well-regarded name in masonry repair and renewal, specialising in heritage buildings. We work as both principal and sub-contractors, on varied projects ranging anywhere from £5k to £2M in value – and boast a substantial portfolio of prestigious works, together with many repeat clients. Our works are primarily within Yorkshire and neighbouring regions.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from estimation through to final account stage
Handling contract negotiations, variations, specifications, surveys, SoWs and H&S
Strategic planning and execution of works
Managing resources (labour, materials, equipment, plant hire)
Leading on H&S policy/procedures/adherence and excellence
Updating directors via regular meetings and periodic reports
Building strong relationships with new and existing clients
The applicant must have:
5+ years demonstrable experience in construction project management (incl. 3+ years with significant stone and traditional lime mortar elements)
Relevant construction qualifications
A genuine passion for historic building preservation, with both traditional and modern techniques
Strong IT skills in Word & Excel (and, ideally, contract management software)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong, exemplar leadership skills and a hands-on interest in staff development
Autonomous self-starter with a can-do attitude but who is equally at home in a collaborative team
Ability to juggle priorities and work to strict deadlines
Full driving licence
