Role: Deputy Manager (Female)

This role requires working on the floor as support worker and performing supernumerary hours each week when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Care Home Manager in overall management, including staff, resident care, and administrative tasks.
* Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Oversee assessment, care planning, and implementation of care plans for residents.
* Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
* Maintain accurate records: resident files, staff rosters, and financial documents.
* Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and company policies.
* Participate in regular meetings and training sessions, contributing to professional development of the team.
Requirements
* UK Driving Licence is essential.
* Required to work on the floor as a support worker and perform supernumerary hours when needed.
* Female applicant required due to genuine occupational requirement; exempt from gender discrimination rule.
* Experience working with people with learning disabilities and understanding of person‑centred support.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in similar role within healthcare or social care sector.
* Relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care).
* Strong leadership and communication skills, motivating and inspiring a team.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
* Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families, and colleagues.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards.
* IT proficiency, including experience with care management systems.
