About the role
The Design Excellence Print Manager is responsible for ensuring print quality, colour consistency, and supplier enablement across Reckitt’s Powerbrand portfolio within a specific category. Reporting into the Head of Design Excellence – Print & Activation, this role works at the intersection of design, production, and supply chain, ensuring that brand intent is flawlessly translated into physical packaging across global markets.
This role is benchmarked against Print Production Manager roles in global FMCG businesses and Production/Print Leads within design and pre-press agencies. It requires deep technical knowledge of colour management, substrates, print technologies, and supplier engagement, coupled with a passion for governance and continuous improvement in deployment execution.
Your responsibilities
* Print Quality Assurance
o Define and uphold Reckitt’s print quality standards, including colour targets, tolerances, and reproduction expectations across print methods.
o Partner with packaging suppliers and printers to ensure fidelity to colour and brand guidelines in all print runs.
o Conduct or support press pass approvals and global print trials, both remotely and on-site when required.
o Monitor print performance across brands and markets, identifying risks and leading corrective action plans.
* Act as a technical partner to Reckitt’s print suppliers and converters, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and data required to meet expectations.
* Collaborate with Procurement and Packaging Development teams to assess supplier capability and print readiness.
* Drive consistent deployment by ensuring approved profiles, proofing standards, and pre-press tools are shared and used.
* Champion a right-first-time print philosophy, reducing the need for reprints or on-site interventions.
* Category & Brand Support
o Serve as the go-to print expert for the category design team, providing guidance on feasibility, materials, and colour reproduction.
o Participate in the packaging development lifecycle, supporting upstream conversations about substrate selection and brand expression through print.
o Liaise with Design Leads and Artwork Agencies to ensure technical print constraints are addressed early in the process.
o Assist in the development of training materials and best practice guides for internal teams.
* Process Improvement & Innovation
o Support the Senior Design Activation Manager in identifying opportunities to modernise Reckitt’s print workflows, tools, and standards.
o Contribute to print technology trials, assessing new inks, finishes, and substrates that support brand impact and sustainability goals.
o Help define future-facing print strategies that enable Reckitt to operate at the leading edge of packaging production.

* Proven experience working with global print suppliers and managing international print trials.
