JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting Production Operator to work in the Glass Shop department for a well-established and growing manufacturing company in the Ammanford area. This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work on a consistent morning shift, with the potential for long-term opportunities for the right candidates.
The Role
Working within a busy glass manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for supporting the production process and ensuring glass units and products are produced to a high standard. This role is based within a department where machinery and processes generate high levels of heat, so candidates must be comfortable working in a warm production environment.
Duties may include:
* Operating glass processing machinery and production equipment
* Handling and positioning glass units safely throughout the production process
* Assembling window components and assisting with glazing operations
* Inspecting glass products to ensure they meet quality standards
* Packing finished products and preparing them for dispatch
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines
* Working safely and effectively in a warm manufacturing environment where heat is generated from machinery and production processes

Requirements
* Previous manufacturing, production, or factory experience is desirable
* Comfortable working in a hot or warm production environment
* Good attention to detail when inspecting glass products for quality
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Good communication and teamwork skills
