SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support

One of my wonderful Primary Schools in Christchurch is seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child within their setting. This is a full-time position starting from January 2026, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
About the Role:
* Providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored learning plans
* Supporting the child’s emotional, social, and academic development
* Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
* Encouraging independence and engagement through consistent support and guidance
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
* Someone reliable, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
