Overview
Qualified Accountant - Christchurch - up to £70,000
Qualified Accountant required to support a great FD. You will lead a small finance team and oversee all aspects of general accounting, maintaining accurate financial records, implementing strong controls, and ensuring timely, compliant reporting.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledgers, reconciliations, and financial statements
* Lead and develop a small finance team
* Oversee fixed asset management, tax returns, and accounts payable/receivable
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
* Support audits, budgeting, and process improvements
* Collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5+ years\' post-qualification experience
* Proven leadership skills in managing accounting teams
* Experience in manufacturing is essential
* Experience of cost accounting preferred
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
