Advanced Physiotherapist (Burns/Plastics/Head and Neck Team)
Job Summary
Provide advanced clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation across burns, head and neck cancer surgery, and plastic surgery for adult patients. Work with multidisciplinary teams and lead service development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver advanced assessments and treatments to adult rehabilitation patients.
* Provide training and supervision to therapists, students and support staff.
* Collaborate with Speech & Language therapists, Dietitians, Nursing, Psychology and medical colleagues.
* Lead and evaluate service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Complete PDRs, staff development, performance management, recruitment and workforce planning.
* Participate in clinical governance meetings and contribute to service development.
* Manage clinical and administrative duties across three inpatient areas: burns (acute, rehabilitation, outpatient), major head & neck cancer surgery, and plastic surgery rehabilitation.
Qualifications
* Masters degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
* Evidence of postgraduate education and training.
* Significant postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant field.
* Experience in delivering clinical education and supervision to staff and students.
* Experience working as part of a therapy and/or multidisciplinary team.
* Highly specialised knowledge and experience of assessment, evaluation and treatment techniques in a specialist field.
* Highly specialised knowledge of relevant treatment modalities.
