Due to continued business expansion, our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on either a freelance or permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious QS looking to develop their career within a growing contractor, working on a mix of Groundworks (75%) and RC Frame (25%) packages.
The Role:
*
Managing commercial responsibility for packages valued between £1m – £9m
*
Overseeing subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Producing cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow
*
Working closely with site and delivery teams across multiple projects
*
Ensuring commercial compliance with NEC and JCT contracts
*
Supporting the wider commercial team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Candidate Requirements:
*
3–4 years’ Quantity Surveying experience (client will also consider graduates with 2–3 years’ experience)
*
Some exposure to Groundworks is essential (RC Frame experience advantageous)
*
Ideally from a subcontractor background
*
Working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract
*
strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges
*
A genuine “can-do, will-do” attitude
*
Full UK driving licence with own transport
*
Happy to work across the M4 & M40 corridors, M25, and Home Counties
