Wyresdale Park is a historic country estate set in the heart of Lancashire. With formal gardens, wildflower meadows, and parkland, the Estate provides a stunning backdrop for weddings, events, and leisure. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for maintaining and enhancing these special outdoor spaces.
Role Overview
The Gardener will play a key role in keeping the Estate's gardens and grounds looking their best throughout the year. This is a practical, physical role that involves a wide variety of gardening and groundskeeping tasks, from plant care and weeding to bed maintenance and seasonal spraying. The right candidate will be able to prioritise tasks, adapt to the weather, and take pride in ensuring the gardens remain welcoming and well-presented.
Key Responsibilities
* Watering, planting, pruning, and general plant care.
* Weeding, spraying, and maintaining flowerbeds across the Estate.
* Maintenance of wildflower gardens, courtyards, and landscaped areas.
* Seasonal tasks such as deadheading, restraining plants, and supporting larger estate projects.
* Safe and effective use of gardening tools and equipment.
Skills & Requirements
* Previous gardening, horticulture, or groundskeeping experience (desirable).
* Physically fit and able to carry out outdoor work in all weather conditions.
* Practical knowledge of plants, lawns, and seasonal garden care.
* Confident in using and maintaining gardening tools and sprayers.
* Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
* Flexible and able to adapt tasks to changing priorities and weather.

Pay: £15,600.00-£16,224.00 per year
