Management Accountant

Reed Finance are working with a well-established organisation based in the heart of Edinburgh city centre who are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant. This role involves managing daily financial tasks, producing critical financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Sage and Microsoft Excel and have a keen eye for detail.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage daily cash flows and perform daily bank reconciliations.
* Monitor Aged Debtors and handle both £GBP and EURO ledgers.
* Produce monthly sales invoices and reconcile these invoices to the Sales Ledger.
* Collect Direct Debits payments from customer accounts.
* Conduct monthly supplier payment runs and PAYE payment preparation and reconciliation.
* Produce VAT returns
* Prepare monthly management accounts for two entities
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and stock reconciliation.
* Prepare forecasts and ad-hoc reports for management as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven computer literacy, proficient use of Sage & Microsoft Office – Excel skills must include Vlookup.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* Flexibility and adaptability to manage a range of tasks.
* Punctual timekeeping.
* Must be a team player.
