Job Title: Head of Data
Salary: £90,000 - £95,000 + £6,675 Car Allowance
Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working Model (Main Office Located in Leicester)
Our client, a prominent organisation in the UK, is seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Data to lead their data function. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive business growth and innovation.
About the Role:
As Head of Data, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our client's overall business goals. You will lead a team of data professionals, overseeing data governance, analytics, and architecture whilst fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a data strategy that drives business growth and informs strategic planning
2. Establish and maintain robust data governance policies and standards
3. Lead the implementation of advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modelling and machine learning
4. Design and implement a scalable, secure data architecture
5. Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, BI developers, and engineers
6. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
7. Manage the budget for data initiatives effectively
8. Communicate data insights clearly to all levels of the organisation
9. Stay abreast of the latest trends in data technology and identify opportunities for innovation
Required Qualifications and Experience:
10. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
11. 8-10+ years of experience in a data leadership role
12. Proven track record in formulating and executing impactful data strategies
13. Strong technical proficiency in data engineering, architecture, and analytics
14. Expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud-based technologies (e.g., Azure)
15. Strategic mindset with a passion for solving complex business challenges
16. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
