Key Focuses
· Supporting the General Manager in the overall running of the retail unit across all
aspects of the business.
· To ensure shifts are run to their maximum effectiveness and in the absence of the
General Manager to lead in the running of the unit.
· Understanding what impacts financial results, team performance and guest
experience.
· Effectively communicating with staff, customers, other stores, and other
departments in person, over the phone, and by email
· Ensuring that the retail site meets all quality standards and regulations.
· Inspiring the retail team with a positive attitude and enthusiasm
· Having sufficient product knowledge and customer service skills to help customers
with questions that are too advanced for the rest of the retail team.
· Positive solution solving attitude to challenges and opportunities.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
· Driving sales revenue and looking for opportunities to increase sales performance.
· Maintaining inventory and keeping Gross Profit in line with company targets
· Ordering stock to maintain full menu and minimise waste.
· Capable of reporting on the retail site's financial results, making sure the site is meeting its targets. PEOPLE · If required, interviewing potential new retail employees in line with company focus on positive guest experience. · Making sure team members are trained in sales, handling stock, customer service, being a cashier, food safety practices and other relevant skills. · Managing employees, making sure they appropriately represent the company, and maintain a positive attitude. · Making sure employees are aware of key business focuses and updates. · Supporting the General Manager in managing and disciplining staff in line with company policy and values GUEST · Deliver guest experience in line with Snowflake’s ‘Serving Happiness’ value. · Dealing with guest complaints and feedback efficiently and politely · Providing the team with the training and environment to provide outstanding service. · Making sure food and gelato is served to company standard. HEALTH AND SAFETY · Understanding of company Food Safety and Health and Safety standards. · Ensuring team and guests are kept safe by following guidelines in the company HACCP and Health and Safety documentation. PERSONAL · To arrive to rota-ed shifts and Snowflake events presented in line with company standards. · To be reliable as well as considerate to other staff when unable to work to full capacity. · To communicate in a professional and positive manner taking into account other people’s sensitivities and personal lives. · To actively look for solutions to work related issues and opportunities.
