Digital Trading Specialist – Role Overview
As a Digital Trading Specialist you’ll drive sales and deliver impactful campaigns, becoming an expert in trading systems and tools. Reporting to the Trading Manager, you’ll own campaign, brand, and promotional strategies, collaborating with digital marketing, commercial and optimisation teams to improve conversion rates and KPIs.
Responsibilities
* Execute day-to-day trading of website(s) under the guidance of the Trading Manager.
* Manage reporting of daily/weekly/monthly/annual trade, providing detailed analysis of key business drivers and feeding into action plans to ensure sales and contribution targets are met.
* Utilise available resources to analyse seasonal sales patterns, maintain commercial awareness, and report on key competitors and customer behaviour.
* Oversee and report on the weekly content for site changes, campaigns, promotions, and brand partner updates.
* Manage end‑to‑end all critical paths for campaign and promotional activity, including awareness of upcoming activities.
* Ensure communication of product & trading strategies to all digital marketing and optimisation teams.
* Assist with coordinating evergreen and seasonal content requirements to drive SEO, customer engagement and conversion.
* Manage the process of improving product content, supporting teams to resolve issues swiftly to optimise sales.
People Management
* Set clear objectives, goals, and development plans for Trading Assistant(s) as relevant.
* Collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, utilising appropriate communication and people management methods.
* Be an active and positive contributor to the team, contributing to the overall e‑commerce strategy.
* Represent the Digital Trading Team across the wider business, ensuring e‑commerce KPIs are understood and achievable for all.
Qualifications
* Valid working rights for the UK.
* Analytical with strong reporting skills and attention to detail.
* Advanced Google Analytics, Contentsquare, and Excel user.
* Experience working within e‑commerce platforms.
* Independent, self‑motivated, and proactive.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar digital role in a retail or consumer brand.
