Theopportunity
Reportingdirectly to the Senior Contracts Specialist the Contract Specialistwill be responsible for drafting negotiating and concluding legalpositions in contracts during the tender phase leading up to awardand supporting operations with potential claims through projectdelivery and close.
As a member of the BusinessAcquisition team covering UK Europe and Americas you will workclosely with peers and business partners to negotiate contracts forthe sale and delivery of the subsea project solutions prominentlyacross the offshore wind sector including marine surveys assetintegrity projects and technologybased development agreements alongwith contracts for the commercialisation of future innovationscopes. As an integral part of the contracts team you will supportmultiple opportunities including negotiations award and operationalsupport for contractual issues or scopechange.
Responsibilities:
Thisis a dynamic and varied role where every day will be different butthe key responsibilities that will determine the impact you makeare:
Review negotiate and finalise contracts forthe sale and delivery of offshore technology enabled projectsacross domestic and international markets with a particular focuson the US market
Drafting and negotiation of terms andconditions including both legal and commercialterms.
Interface closely with tendering businessdevelopment and operations/projects personnel. Advise on terms andconditions and other contractual issues to facilitate successfulnegotiations and outcomes.
Work to create companystandard terms applicable to the business lines and sectors theyserve.
Present contractual risk remedies and proposedsolutions to the Project team for ongoing scopes when potentialchange or dispute occurs.
Advise business leaders ofpotential claims delivery issues and other postaward support andpresent solutions/outcomes that protect thebusiness
Liaise with Subject Matter Experts where requiredto support new territories or bolster existing including legalcounsel tax and Insurance to ensure that all contracts comply toRovco contracting principles and that these develop as we continueto grow.
Maintain contracts files and databases withrespect to contracts reviewed and agreed.
SupportP&L leads and project managers in applying contractingprinciples to understand and address risks associated with variousscopes of work.
Promote contractual awareness within thewider business acquisition team and conduct contractsrelatedtraining for operations.
The successful post holder willbe required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expectedwithin the scope of the post.
Contribute to contractualstrategy and ensure adherence to the same throughout the projectlifecycle;
Provide day to day contractual advice andsupport;
Escalate legal issues where required and presentoptions to resolve to the business;
Assist in negotiatingJVs Head of Terms Confidentiality Agreements NDAs.
Supportthe preparation and implementation of specific procedures andguidelines;
Ensure compliance with all contractualprocedures and requirements;
Monitor projectcorrespondence for commercially and contractually relevantmatters;
