Quantity Surveyor Location: Canterbury Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 DOE Hill McGlynn Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a respected and growing fit out and refurbishment contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor, based from their Canterbury office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded professional to join a dynamic business delivering high-quality interior fit out and refurbishment projects across commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and financial aspects of multiple fit out projects from inception to completion. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on budget and in line with company standards and client expectations. Key responsibilities include: Managing all commercial elements of projects including procurement, cost planning, valuations, and final accounts Preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tenders Negotiating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers Monitoring project costs and budgets, producing regular cost reports Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations Supporting the project delivery team to achieve project targets and maintain profitability About You Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit out, refurbishment, or interiors sector Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field Proficient in relevant IT and costing systems What’s on Offer Competitive salary between £55,000 – £65,000 DOE Permanent, full-time position with a well-established and growing contractor Exciting range of projects and long-term career progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment If you’re a hands-on Quantity Surveyor looking to join a business where your expertise and input will make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
