A well-established and growing energy solutions business is seeking a Mechanical / Process Engineer to provide technical input, design review and engineering coordination across a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects delivered within live manufacturing environments. The role focuses on reviewing and sense-checking designs produced by external engineering consultants, providing constructive technical challenge where required, and supporting internal delivery teams to ensure solutions are viable, buildable and appropriate for operational industrial sites. You will work closely with internal technical sales teams, project delivery teams and external consultants across multiple sectors, contributing to commercially viable, long-term energy solutions. Responsibilities Technical Review & Support Review mechanical and process designs produced by third-party engineering consultants Provide clear, constructive technical feedback to ensure designs are practical, compliant and buildable Support assessment of design integration within live manufacturing environments Assist in the development of technical scopes, specifications and engineering requirements Provide technical input in client-facing discussions where required Liaise closely with external design and engineering consultants Work with internal technical sales teams during project development and feasibility stages Support project and construction teams through delivery and implementation Coordinate technical input across engineering, delivery and commercial teams Contribute to supplier selection within area of technical expertise Attend site visits, design reviews and project meetings as requiredRequirements Essential Mechanical or process engineering background Experience reviewing, coordinating or challenging third-party engineering designs Background in manufacturing or process-led industrial environments Understanding of process design and system integration CAD experience Strong engineering judgement with the confidence to challenge designs constructively Clear communicator, comfortable working with engineers, project teams and non-technical stakeholders Willingness to travel to UK-based site.Package & Benefits Permanent, full-time position Competitive salary depending on experience 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Life assurance (4x salary) Salary sacrifice pension scheme Private healthcare (BUPA or equivalent) Ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesIf you’re a Mechanical or Process Engineer with experience reviewing complex designs and working within live industrial environments, this is a strong opportunity to join a technically focused business delivering long-term energy and infrastructure solutions.
