About the role
Diagnose and repair faults on both in-house and third party powered access equipment.
Conduct thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) examination.
Assist with servicing, refurbishments and general workshop duties.
Respond promptly and effectively to on-site breakdowns and call outs.
This will be field based as well as depot based.
Use of company vehicles for field based call outs.
This is a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of the company’s extensive fleet of scissor lifts and boom lifts.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven record and qualifications as a Powered Access Engineer or Plant Fitter Engineer.
* Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 minor penalty points.
* Excellent problem solving and analytic skills.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
* Team player with commitment to exceeding customer expectation.
* IPAF CAP licence (our client is open to candidates with a solid foundation in plant, agricultural, or forklift engineering).
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30am - 42.5 hours per week paid.
Salary/Package
Our client is open to salary expectations for this role, so in effect it is uncapped.
5% bonus per annum on company sales.
Performance based annual bonus scheme.
