Plant Supervisor - Concrete Location: Outgang Lane, York Competitive Salary We are looking for a proactive and safety‑focused Plant Supervisor to join our team at Outgang Lane, York. This role is central to ensuring high‑quality concrete production, excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment. About the Role You will work closely with the site team to oversee day‑to‑day production, ensuring that customer requirements are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. You will also be responsible for creating a strong first impression through excellent site presentation, including yard, plant and facilities. Key Accountabilities Liaise with the Order Office, plant team and customers to ensure concrete/mortar is produced to required standards, delivering optimum output and service. Carry out regular plant inspections and ensure all routine maintenance and cleaning is completed to required standards. Maintain cleanliness of plant mechanisms, buildings, equipment and facilities in line with company instructions. Ensure waste disposal, water discharge and dust control comply with Environmental Procedures. Monitor material levels and ensure sufficient stock is available for production needs. Inspect incoming materials and conduct weekly visual stock checks. Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors follow site safety procedures. Review work methods, plant utilisation and resources to maximise efficiency. Ensure operations follow Group and Regional Procedures and prevent fraudulent activity. Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Company Safety Policy. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge and attend training as required. Support compliance with Company Personnel Policies and Procedures. Operate the batching plant and FEL to company standards, ensuring high site presentation. Accurately batch concrete/mortar according to procedures (once trained). Conduct routine maintenance, report defects and record actions. Report any issues affecting safety, environmental performance, product quality or customer service. Ensure full compliance with policies covering health & safety, environment, quality and fraud. Carry out any additional duties required by management.
