Overview
Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Chichester in their search for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent position teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
Role Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
* Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations through structured teaching and revision strategies.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behaviour for learning.
* Work collaboratively with the English department to plan schemes of work and share best practice.
* Adapt teaching approaches to support students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
* Participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
* Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
* Strong subject knowledge across the English curriculum.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
The pay stated is inclusive of the 12.07% PAYE holiday entitlement.
