Position: Cardiology Nurse Specialist, Band 7 / Trainee, Band 6 Annex 21 para 2 (i)
Type: Full Time – 37 Hours, Monday to Friday
Role Overview: An exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to join the specialist nursing teams within Cardiology. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the team, supporting skill and knowledge development in the specialty, and providing specialist nursing interventions for patients with various cardiac conditions, including assessment of acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, post-surgery patients, and outpatient reviews.
The post involves leading nurse-led cardiac care across Tayside & North East Fife, focusing initially on cardiac rehabilitation and developing expertise in arrhythmia and heart failure. The role requires autonomous working, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and may involve service delivery across multiple sites including Angus, PRI, and Ninewells.
Qualifications: Registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA, or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register. Evidence of continuing professional development, degree education or working towards it, cardiology experience, extensive post-registration experience, and leadership experience are preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work independently and travel across Tayside.
