The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Hyll Hotel. This is your chance to work in a luxury hotel setting in the Cotswolds, where excellent food, beautiful surroundings, and a supportive culture come together. You’ll work closely under the Head Chef, helping drive high standards, putting your creative mark on the menu, and stepping up your leadership skills.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Support the Head Chef in all kitchen operations: prep, service, quality control
* Lead service when required; oversee junior kitchen staff / Chef de Partie tasks
* Assist in menu planning & seasonal dishes, ensuring ingredients shine
* Maintain consistency, presentation, and high culinary standards
* Manage stock, order supplies, and work with suppliers when needed
* Uphold food safety, hygiene, and kitchen health & safety standards
* Help mentor more junior team members and contribute to a positive kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For
* Solid experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Junior Sous Chef in a hotel or fine-dining environment
* Passion for seasonal, local produce and excellent food presentation
* Strong organizational and leadership skills — able to take initiative and work well in a team
* Reliable, with attention to detail; good under pressure
* Flexibility for service hours (evenings/events) while still balancing good work-life rhythms
