Key Responsibilities
1. Process supplier invoices, including contractors, engineering partners, and project-related costs
2. Manage customer billing cycles and support credit control
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
5. Bank Reconciliations
6. Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
7. Monitor cash flow across ongoing operations and active projects
8. Support treasury and banking queries
9. VAT &pliance
10. Assist in preparing and submitting VAT returns
11. Ensurepliance with HMRC and industry regulations
12. Management Accounts
13. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
14. Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
15. Contribute to project cost reporting and financial analysis
Requirements
16. Experience in the energy sector, utilities, engineering, project-based industries (needed)
17. Background in an Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant role with month-end exposure
18. AAT studier or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA
19. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems (SAP, Sage, Xero, NetSuite, etc.)
20. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
21. Confidentmunicator with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
