In the 12-month Systems Engineering Placement, you\'ll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from requirements capturing, system design and verification.
Responsibilities
* In the 12-month Systems Engineering Placement, you\'ll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from requirements capturing, system design and verification. You could be helping with gaining and maintaining network connectivity and providing support services to customers or process improvement using IT systems internally.
* The Systems Engineering team (Avionics Displays and Controllers) and gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from capturing stakeholder expectations, implementing change management on requirements, design, integration to testing the product to meet customer, environmental and certification needs.
* You could be working within a multi-disciplined team of engineers, reporting to the Control Systems Engineering Manager, or in Power Systems and Software function with liaison to external and internal stakeholders at various stages of the systems engineering lifecycle for power distribution systems.
We have a number of types or roles in this area:
* Test Systems Sustainment, Cheltenham
* Control Systems – Engineering, Dowty
* Avionic Displays and Controllers, Cheltenham
Location and Site Information
This opportunity is offered at Cheltenham & Gloucester (Dowty, a GE Aerospace company) sites. Locations and role preferences will be discussed during process.

GE Aerospace Cheltenham focuses on the design, development and manufacture of state-of-the-art aircraft power distribution and avionics systems for the global aviation industry.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
* Keen interest in Systems Engineering
* On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above
* To be in your penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement
