Commencing in September 2025, this full time Science teaching role requires applicants to have qualified teacher status, recent positive teaching experience within a UK secondary school and exceptional subject knowledge.

Hours: Full Time (term time only Mon- Fri)
Rate of Pay: MPS/UPS (pay to scale)

Job Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Recent success teaching Science in a UK based secondary school
Excellent school based references
Competent subject based knowledge and awareness of the UK national curriculum
Specialise in one of the 3 core science topics- Biology, Chemistry or Physics
Confident behaviour management techniques and strong classroom presence
Ability to commit to a full time role
Enhanced (child only) DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
You will be expected to plan and deliver a range of science lessons inclusive of individual needs within the class, based upon the national curriculum guidelines. As well as this, there is an expectation of regular assessment of pupil progress, ensuring you provide accurate and honest feedback in a positive manner, supporting children with their learning and development.
You will need to collaborate with colleagues within the science department, developing schemes of work and ensuring it is a high performing subject within the school.
