Scope of Work
* Represent KENT ENERGIES with Clients, Suppliers, Vendors, and Certifying Authorities in a professional and consultative manner.
* Provide Principal Designer input and guidance on design-related matters to ensure quality and compliance across deliverables.
* Support the assessment of design personnel competence, identifying skill gaps and recommending actions such as training, mentoring, or resource adjustments.
* Define and outline the design scope of work required to execute each project or assignment, including estimation of deliverables, resources, and timeframes.
* Contribute technical input to project plans and schedules in coordination with the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
* Identify potential areas of concern or risk during project execution and propose appropriate corrective measures.
* Collaborate with the Design Team Leader to highlight opportunities for improvement and contribute to enhanced design practices and processes.
* Ensure operational and maintenance considerations are incorporated into design deliverables through engagement with relevant stakeholders.
* Conduct onshore and offshore surveys to gather information required for accurate and efficient project execution.
* Monitor progress against agreed schedules and budgets, reporting outcomes and variances as needed.
* Plan ahead for resource needs and advise the Lead Engineer or Design Team Leader of anticipated changes impacting delivery.
* Review and verify design deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with standards.
* Identify any variations in project scope and communicate these to the Lead Engineer or Project Engineer for evaluation.
* Maintain control and traceability of design documentation, ensuring effective handling of check prints and IDC comment records.
* Confirm that all design documentation has been properly reviewed and verified before issue.
* Stay informed of relevant technical developments, industry standards, and legislative requirements applicable to the role.
* During site visits and surveys, liaise with operations and maintenance teams to confirm requirements and identify opportunities for KENT ENERGIES to provide value-added engineering solutions.
* Deliver safe, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose design solutions that add measurable value to both KENT ENERGIES and its Clients.
Key Requirements
* Previous demonstrable experience in detailed design and design checking using Aveva E3D and AutoCAD (including AutoCAD Plant 3D)
* Previous experience with Point cloud software such as Recap Pro and LFM is essential
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant oil and gas industry codes and standards
* Understanding of all engineering disciplines
* Highly competent in the use of Autodesk design products
* Experience in managing and developing others
* Offshore certification (Preferred)
