Role Description
This is a graduate level full-time on-site role for a Software Quality Assurance Tester in Glasgow. The Software Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for executing tests to ensure the quality of software products, identifying and documenting bugs and issues, and verifying fixes. The role also entails collaborating with development teams to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing is conducted.
QA/Tester Duties
* Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our web application based on the Apache, WildFly, and SQL Server stack and complimentary mobile application.
* Collaborate closely with the development team to identify, report, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
* Perform manual testing to validate the application's functionality, performance, and security.
* Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and ensure a seamless user experience.
* Create and maintain testing documentation, including test scripts, test data, and test reports.
* Participate in the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
* Proactively communicate testing progress, results, and any potential roadblocks to relevant stakeholders.
* Support the live application with direct to customer or telephone based support.
* This job may involve international travel to support customer deployments.
The ideal candidate must be currently located in the Glasgow/central Scotland area.
This is an office based role and hybrid/remote working is not available for this role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
