Key Accountabilities
* Understand and comply with Company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Sustainability Systems and Policies
* Provide assistance to the Site Engineers in the accurate setting out and control of the works, taking every opportunity to undertake setting out under the supervision of their Section/Senior Engineer
* Gain experience of Company HSEQ systems and participate in tasks that are described
* Gain experience in materials sampling and testing
* Any other duties assigned by your line manager for the benefit of the site
Key Objectives
* Undertaking Instrument checks on setting out equipment and maintaining records of such checks
* Maintaining drawing registers
* Setting out the works
* Maintaining as built record drawing of the completed works
* Maintaining records of labour, plant and materials used in the works
* Undertaking material reconciliations
* Reading and understanding method statements
* Checking material deliveries for compliance with contract requirements
* Carrying out material sampling
About you
* A degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
* Organised with good attention to detail
* Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop professionally
* Basic understanding of engineering principles, standards, and best practices
* Awareness of health, safety, and quality requirements within an engineering environment
* Full UK Driving License - as there may be a requirement to travel to other sites or offices
