The Role
As a team manager you are at the forefront of setting an environment where children and families feel part of the process as opposed to feeling ’done to’.
We are constantly striving to ensure that all children who are subject to child protection planning or child in care reviews have effective plans that ensure their safety and permanency in a timely way.
Within the Quality Assurance, Reviewing and Safeguarding Service (QARSS) we work hard to ensure that children, their families and partners contribute to the planning through their participation in conferences and reviews. We ensure that we provide a consistent approach in service delivery as well as undertaking quality assurance throughout the whole child protection and IRO process.
We continue to embed trauma informed, relationship-based practice with focus on a strengths-based approach, working with key partners across the county within our work with families. Our work is informed by our restorative practice framework to ensure that we support children and their families. Presence in the office is vital to embed positive relationships from the outset. This is complimented by our hybrid working model, whilst still delivering the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
