Overview
Service Care are delighted to be working with a local firm looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer to join their friendly, close‑knit team. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, processing payroll in a timely manner. This role is ideal for those who want to be in a supportive and social team, with the opportunity for career progression.
Responsibilities
* Calculation of wages, bonuses, overtime and statutory payment deductions
* Process end‑to‑end payroll for your portfolio on a monthly, bi‑weekly and weekly basis
* Ensure compliance with tax and employment legislation
* Prepare and submit payroll reports
* Maintain up‑to‑date employee payroll records and ensure data is inputted correctly
* Handle payroll amendments, starters, leavers and year‑end processes
* Act as the main point of contact for your portfolio, handling queries and offering payroll advice
* Reconcile payroll reports
* Assist with audits as required
* Perform other ad‑hoc duties as required
Skills and Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience within payroll
* Experience within a payroll bureau or firm, or managing multiple entity payrolls
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation
* High attention to detail
* Polite and professional telephone manner
