The Apprentice Service & Maintenance Technician Program offers you the opportunity to develop your career with one of the world's most prestigious companies and work alongside some of Britain's brightest young talent, as well as the chance to "earn while you learn". Training is delivered on a residential block release basis at the ProVQ Training Centre in Shrewsbury and the Toyota/Lexus Academy in Burnaston, Derbyshire. The program targets and develops high-caliber individuals like you, who may have recently completed their education and are seeking their first professional automotive career step. Upon successful completion, you will gain the Apprenticeship Standard Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Level 3 qualification.
You will earn as you learn, starting with a competitive annual salary. Additionally, upon graduation, you will receive a benefits package and performance-related bonuses.
* Participate fully in all scheduled activities, including training at the Toyota/Lexus Academy and the Atcham Training Centre.
* Keep all learning activities up to date and prepare for reviews with your Manager, Mentor, & Learning & Development Advisor.
* Perform foundational tasks common to all service and repair procedures.
* Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment.
* Access information such as wiring diagrams, technical data, and vehicle repair information.
* Use complex diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical measuring equipment.
* Inspect and prepare vehicles to high industry standards.
* Remove, repair/replacing components according to manufacturer’s specifications.
* Investigate vehicle faults and identify their causes.
* Apply advanced diagnostic principles and problem-solving techniques using diagnostic tools and testing regimes.
* Engage in activities that promote the dealership's profile, such as community events that promote the Lexus brand and attract new customers.
