International Business Development Manager (Europe)

£50,000 – £80,000 + up to KPI £30,000 bonus
An established engineering manufacturer is looking for a multilingual business development specialist in engineering and manufacturing to develop business across Europe (France, Benelux, Iberia, Italy, Turkey and Greece).
You will grow sales in two ways:
This role combines two areas of responsibility: developing a network of agents and distributors and managing direct customer relationships where appropriate. The balance will vary by territory, but both elements are central to the position.
The product range is engineered equipment used within manufacturing and process industries, where customers and partners expect a sound understanding of application and performance.
The International Business Development Manager (Europe) role
* Manage and improve existing agents and distributors.
* Appoint new partners where coverage is lacking.
* Support and develop agents on technical and commercial matters.
* Develop direct relationships with key customers.
* Identify and win new business across your territories.
* Work with internal engineering teams to ensure proposals are technically and commercially sound.
About you - International Business Development Manager
* Experience selling engineered or technical products.
* Background in manufacturing or engineering environments.
* Comfortable working with agents as well as dealing directly with customers.
* Able to handle both technical discussions and commercial negotiation.
* Experience developing international markets.
* Fluent English, plus professional working proficiency in French, Spanish or Italian for day to day communication.
