About the Role
* Organise and motivate dispatch staff to ensure they work to their full potential and the operation is effectively staffed.
* Ensure training and development of all staff including new starters against approved training plans, skill matrix, and SOPs.
* Maintain, complete and report KPI data daily.
* Escalate issues in a timely way through key personnel.
* Ensure staffing issues are dealt with effectively, consistently and fairly.
* Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
* Have a full understanding of the Warehouse Management System.
* Ensure the area is controlled, clean, tidy and aligned with GMP standards.
* Adhere to health & safety and food hygiene procedures and standards.
* Participate and promote the Avara Vision and Values.
* Comply with all Avara policies and procedures.
* Other duties within the general scope of the post may be required from time to time.
Requirements
* Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
* Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
* Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
* Experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Due to bird welfare, must not own avian pets or poultry.
