Hours of work: 35 hours a week (Monday to Friday 8:30am–4:00pm with 30min lunch), term time plus Teacher Training days and one week paid during the school holidays

About the School
Nursteed Community Primary School opened in September 2002 and is an attractive modern school serving the community on the south‑east of Devizes. It is a one‑form entry school with a class for each year group.
About the Role
We are seeking a positive, organised and cheerful person to be the first point of contact for visitors and to run all aspects of the school office. You will carry out all administration and financial control duties, manage time effectively in a busy environment and maintain confidentiality and safeguarding standards.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for visitors.
* Manage the school office, including reception and communication with staff, parents and external parties.
* Carry out all administrative duties, such as filing, record keeping and correspondence.
* Handle financial control duties, including budget monitoring, receipts and payments.
* Use school budget and administration software (FMS) and information management system (SIMS).
* Ensure information is treated in confidence and safeguarding procedures are followed.
* Support the headteacher and team with school governance and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
* Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office.
* Experience with or willingness to learn FMS and SIMS.
* Good time‑management and the ability to work under pressure and with interruptions.
* Understanding of safeguarding in a school context.
* Willingness to continue professional development through relevant training.
