The primary objective of this position is to improve equipment reliability by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, in accordance with the HeidelbergCement Maintenance Improvement Plan.
Key Accountabilities
Support the maintenance team leader and be an integral part of the maintenance team by conducting mechanical inspections and executing planned and corrective maintenance tasks as directed. Receive work instructions for routine maintenance duties and perform them accordingly. Work independently or as part of a team, as required by your supervisor. Participate actively in the 8am MIP meetings and provide necessary information. Ensure all activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards, and perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Job Requirements
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental impacts related to the role.
* Experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance of equipment, including compressed air systems, process lines, vessels, conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filters, milling, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, etc.
* Welding and cutting skills for fabrication and maintenance tasks.
* Ability to operate lifting and pulling gear safely.
* Proficiency with workshop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.
* Mechanical fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in heavy or chemical industry manufacturing plants.
Education/Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
