Working for a large and busy housing maintenance department within a Housing Association
This role will be based within the Asset Maintenance Team. You will report directly into the Assistant Director and provide support for the Asset Management Teams and provide an initial and ongoing contact point for customers, staff, and external agencies’ enquiries and referrals. To manage allocation of works for Aids and Adaptions.
You will be responsible for dealing with a wide range of duties – working on your own initiative to take action as appropriate and referring issues to the Asset Management Team where necessary.
Place minor Aids and Adaptations works with the DLO monitor to completion and to the satisfaction of the resident.
Evaluate quotations from contractors and place orders for work. Progress orders to completion, arrange post-completion inspections, and produce customer service reports.
Manage and update Aids and Adaptations spreadsheet.
Liaise with tenants as the first point of contact to ascertain the nature of requirements and allocate to the appropriate team where required.
Manage diary appointments for Aids and Adaptations staff, including Adaptations Officer and Surveyor.
Check and approve contractor invoices for completed work in preparation for sign-off by the Major Works Manager.
Other duties include arranging meetings, booking facilities/equipment, preparing agendas, attending meetings, producing and distributing minutes within agreed timescales, supporting the production of progress/highlight reports for projects, logging mail and tracking responses, providing high-quality administrative support, maintaining and developing budget recording, stock control, accounting procedures, and filing systems, undertaking housekeeping of electronic data systems to ensure clean live data, providing monthly statistical data and reports, and using the Agresso system to raise purchase orders and complete orders.
