Responsibilities and Duties
Dog Grooming Salon Manager
THE ROLE
Reporting into the Directors;
* As a Salon Manager you will lead from the front and with a hands-on approach you will inspire the team around you, injecting fun into the work place and creating a truly amazing place to work and pamper your pet.
* You will be responsible for setting the standard of grooming within the salon and offering our customers a highly professional, personalised and unique service.
* As a Salon Manager you will drive business within the salon, looking for ways to increase productivity, make cost savings and improve our services. You will deliver the very highest standard of pet grooming and help less experienced employees improve their skills.
* Your excellent communication skills will be fully utilised as you will be dealing with customers and their pets on a daily basis.
* You will effectively manage the salon diary to maximise the number of appointments offered whilst delivering a quality service to our pets and their people.
* You will assist in ensuring excellent salon presentation is maintained and high standards are kept through cleanliness, safety and good standards of housekeeping.
* Effective Social Media building is a big part of the role and you will ensure all updates meet the Four Paws standard.
* As a Salon Manager you will assist with the training and development of other salon employees.
* You will be responsible for the salon finances on a day to day basis, ensuring that all financials are completed and records kept effectively.
* The customer database will be constantly updated and each clients details will need to be kept secure as per Four Paws data protection policy.
* The role requires you to be a 'key holder' for access to the shop. This also requires you to assist as required in any unforeseen situation at the salon.
* You will be a key support for the management team and have a proactive approach to any projects or developments in the company.
* Our salons offer a great service 5 days per week and you will work 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch break. A 4 day week would also be available.
* The role may require you to work at our Northwich salon.
ABOUT YOU
* You'll have experience of working within a grooming environment, and it is essential that you are able to complete a groom from start to finish on the majority of breeds to a high standard (please note that grooming your own pet does not qualify as professional experience).
* It would be beneficial if you have a grooming related qualification.
* You will be commercially aware and understand the importance of driving salon sales.
* You will have experience of effectively managing a salon diary to maximise the number of appointments.
* You'll have a proven track record of delivering high standards in all aspects of the role.
* You'll be a people person, have a real passion for pets as well as being a great team player.
* You'll be hungry to be part of a successful salon and proactive in your approach.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have a minimum of 12 months commercial grooming experience
Qualification preferred
