Job Description
Tamayo Federal Solutions, LLC, a Department of Defense contractor, is now hiring a Mid-level Mechanical Engineer (E2) to support the customer by providing system administration services for both physical and virtual hosted applications. The role involves ensuring the efficient operation of all physical and virtual servers, supporting data center computing, storage, and networking capabilities at Government data centers and related commercial cloud environments. We are seeking an Engineer, Mechanical (E2) - Mid Level, to be part of an energetic, results-driven team. Responsibilities include supporting data analysis and management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Providing technical support in mechanical, electrical/electronic engineering, and naval architecture principles related to aircraft carrier hulls, HM&E systems, aviation, and electronic shipboard systems. Tasks require extensive knowledge of aircraft carrier maintenance philosophy, ship installation drawings, RCM principles, and ship operations, with the ability to organize data for evaluation and action.
2. Supporting the development, management, and refinement of non-nuclear CMP, BAWPs, and modernization efforts during CVN availabilities, ensuring technical requirements and configurations are current.
3. Collecting, managing, and analyzing data (e.g., maintenance, risk, material condition) of systems or components based on specific criteria, and submitting findings for evaluation and action.
4. Assisting in developing life-cycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and components.
5. Developing, maintaining, and reporting metrics as required.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience.
* 10+ years of professional experience preferred.
* Experience in data analytics, maintenance, and modernization related to aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship design, construction, or maintenance.
Security Requirements:
* U.S. Citizenship required.
* Active Secret Clearance required.
