About You
To be successful we are seeking someone with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills (retail agents, wholesale agents, Australian National and State tourism organisations, and more). You will also have a customer service orientation and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. An appropriate candidate will have strong organisational skills and a professional personal presentation to appropriately represent the Journey Beyond brands.
You will love interpreting data, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing positively to team culture. Previous experience in the tourism industry is preferred, as well as a background in sales and partnership management. A post-graduate qualification in a Tourism or related field is desirable. You should display a passion for the Journey Beyond brand and enjoy having fun.
About The Role
As the Business Development Executive, you'll work closely with our Business Development Manager in the UK to enhance and diversify revenue across all Journey Beyond brands in the UK and European markets. You will drive growth through strategic campaigns and training initiatives that align with our overall UK/Europe strategic plan. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of Journey Beyond's products and value proposition to craft impactful business and cooperative marketing opportunities proposals. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the Group Manager of International Sales and the Business Development Manager for the UK/Europe to develop strategies with new and existing distribution partners.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting in planning and implementing market campaigns to maximise ROI
* Managing relationships with new and existing industry partners
* Participating in account negotiations and researching new business opportunities
* Monitoring key partners' marketing materials to ensure brand guideline adherence
* Supporting the development of a sales expense budget aligned with in-market promotions
* Maintaining contact information within a CRM system
KPIs / Deliverables
* Arrange and host in-person and virtual training sessions with industry partners
* Achieve training and development targets
* Build and maintain partnerships throughout UK and Europe to increase Journey Beyond's product awareness and sales
* Represent Journey Beyond at consumer and trade events
* Assist in curating trade-friendly marketing and training materials
This is a permanent full-time position, working out of your home office ideally based in Northern UK and willing to travel throughout UK and Europe.
