Overview
Exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced Auditor. Reporting to the Senior Audit Manager, the role includes leadership responsibility within the team in addition to leading and managing teams on audit assignments, training and coaching staff, and managing a large range of clients to ensure a profitable client portfolio while maximising new business opportunities.
Due to the nature of the role, ideally applicants need to be ACA or ACCA qualified and will have experience in leading audit teams and working in a managerial role. The business are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and would consider Senior Accountants who are looking for a step up into a managerial position. This position offers significant progression due to firm expansion, with reporting directly to one of the Partners. It would be beneficial to have previous experience dealing with Healthcare clients, but this is not essential.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and management of audit teams on assignments, including training and coaching staff.
* Manage a diverse client portfolio effectively and profitably; maximise opportunities for new business.
* Report to the Senior Audit Manager and collaborate with Partners as required.
* As a Practice Accountant, ensure an efficient accounts function for a variety of clients.
* Manage the accounts preparation team, handling both manual and computerised records.
* Prepare and review accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
* Oversee the completion of personal, business, and corporation tax returns.
Qualifications
* ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent; consideration given to Senior Accountants seeking a step up to a managerial role.
* Experience in leading audit teams and working in a managerial capacity.
* Strong technical capabilities across audit and accounting disciplines.
* Healthcare sector experience is beneficial but not required.
