Job Summary
Bronx, New York – Orthopedics – Sports Medicine Fellowship Trained Surgeon (Knees and Elbows) – MON‑FRI – Hours Vary – 8 HOURS Daily.
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and growth‑minded sports orthopedics surgeon with fellowship training in knees and elbows to join our expanding Orthopedic practice at our New Windsor, NY (Lower Hudson Valley) site with privileges at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (MSLC) in Newburgh, NY. The physician will help sustain and grow a robust Sports Medicine and surgery practice, working closely with colleagues in both outpatient and inpatient settings to facilitate high quality care delivery.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive sports medicine and surgical care, focusing on knees and elbows.
* Work collaboratively with outpatient and inpatient teams, including fellowship‑trained surgeons in spine, adult reconstruction, hand, and shoulder.
* Support clinic operations with experienced PAs, MAs, pain‑management, podiatry, and physical‑therapy colleagues.
* Utilize shared EPIC electronic health record across Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall for integrated documentation.
* Participate in operating‑room activities with a multi‑room setup, rapid turnover, and state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
* Contribute to the OR team’s anesthesia, blocks, and complex case management.
* Serve on the orthopedic inpatient unit in private rooms with panoramic Hudson River views and skilled peri‑operative nursing staff.
* Participate in practice call (initially 1:5, decreasing with growth) and 8‑week per‑year ER coverage, with compensation for additional call.
Qualifications
* Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgery.
* Fellowship trained (knees and elbows preferred).
* Hold or be able to obtain a New York State Medical License.
