S&P Global Commodity Insights (“SPGCI”) is seeking a dynamic, commercially-minded lawyer to join its Legal Strategy & Operations Team. This is a global role reporting to the Head of Legal, Strategy & Operations. The main focus is to be the centre of excellence for SPGCI’s legal templates and document repository.
Responsibilities and Impact
* Manage SPGCI’s legal templates, including drafting, updating, and guiding the Legal team.
* Provide training on legal templates to Legal and Business teams.
* Collaborate with Legal Operations Specialists on document preparation and organization in the Contract Life Management (CLM) System.
* Maintain and organize the knowledge management repository.
* Develop legal training materials on topics like IP rights, antitrust, media law, and legal policies.
* Manage legal projects assigned by the Head of Legal.
* Assist in updating and streamlining legal procedures and processes.
Qualifications
* Law degree and qualified as a lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, England & Wales, New York).
* 12+ years PQE with substantial experience in corporate/commercial law at a major law firm.
* Excellent legal drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Experience working with regional executives and senior management.
* Proactive, logical thinker capable of providing practical solutions.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Team player with a collaborative approach.
Interaction
* Partner with senior business stakeholders for legal support.
* Collaborate with legal and compliance teams.
* Work with Legal Operations Specialists and Paralegals.
