Volkswagen Van Centre Cardiff, part of the Sinclair Group, are looking for a confident, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Aftersales team. You'll be the first point of contact for our aftersales customers, providing a friendly, professional service from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover.

Position: Service Advisor Van Centre Cardiff
Full time: 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:30pm
Saturday Rota: 1 every 3 weeks 8.30am to 12.30pm as overtime.
Position pays: £28,288.00 basic plus a monthly bonus
Bonus Schemes: OTE and bonus scheme which can be discussed further at interview

The Role:
Our Service Advisors play a vital part in delivering and sustaining an exceptional experience for every service and repair customer. You'll be the link between our workshop and our customers, ensuring communication is clear, accurate and always centred around trust and transparency.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
1. Customer service - greeting customers, understanding their needs, and keeping them updated throughout the service process
2. Service bookings - managing workshop diary, scheduling work, and coordinating with technicians
3. Upselling opportunities - identifying additional work and explaining benefits clearly and professionally
4. Administration - preparing job cards, processing invoices and maintaining accurate records
5. Communication - liaising with customers, technicians, and parts teams to ensure smooth workflow
What we are looking for:
6. Experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or similar customer-facing role
7. Strong communication and organisational skills
8. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy dealership environment
9. Confident using computer systems and managing multiple tasks
10. A positive, customer-first attitude
11. Automotive experience preferred, but strong customer service backgrounds will be considered
12. A full UK driving licence
Experience in the motor industry is desirable, but not essential - your mindset and approach matter most.
